    Hi

I'm doing a project where I have a 2 gang light switch box installed in a wall.
However I need to install a one gang blanking plate and a one gang dimer switch togother, is it possible to install this in a standard 2 gang box? Another alternative Im considering, I can take a 2 gang blanking plate, buy a one gang dimmer switch, remove the dimmer from the one gang and install it onto the 2 gang blanking plate, a la the picture. Or would it be possible to buy a 2 gang blanking plate but with one half a dimmer switch and the other half a blank? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

you can buy a double blank and fit the dimmer into the plate if you want.if you had to fit a single blank and the dimmer seperate you might have to drill and use pozis llike 3.5*50's into the wall

Hey an easier option would be to remove the actual back box and change it to a dual box i.e two singles stuck together with tapped threads for two single switches/blank plate. You can get them in drylining/metal or plastic.
