Yah u can replace the head.
You need a pinion gear and the tm tool to remove it.

as dr p said, you should be able to replace the pinion gear, most rc shops will stock the tool you need

Most instructions ive read say if the motor is too close or too far from the bevel gear of the gearbox, you will hear a soft or loud whine from the gun which could be the cause of your loud aeg.

Youll need to raise or lower your motor as it can slip though regular use (usually after youve spent a small fortune on bbs) or if you recently stripped and cleaned / serviced the gearbox.

youll need to read up on your exact aeg for instuctions needless to say a miss aligned motor will strip your gears and trash your gearbox.

basic rule of thumb is that with the aeg in semi fire a shot or two and listen closely then adjust the motor height.
Do this slowly and listen for a flat, consistent sound; the same that you heard when you fired the aeg for the first time. Once your happy with the noise leave the screw in place. A high pitch grinding sound indicates your motor is too high or you have adjusted too far while a low rumble / rattle indicates your too low.
