    Hi lads(and ladies),

A while ago I got some sound mixing software. With that I want to be able to use a mic and the speakers to do announcements and kareokee. It wouldnt work in the software, and when I tried in windows I found the option to be missing. Yesterday, Dar(Good Man:D) linked me to a thread with a fix. It appears that Dell ship all PCs with Sigma 2XX HD Audio cards with the monitor option disabled. All you have to do is add a registry value called something like "enablemicmonitor" or something like that in the sound driver key. I did this, which successfully enabled monitoring on boot, but it also caused me to receive a DirectX sound driver error on booting the software which stops the music from actually playing(it attemts but fails). I couldnt find a way to fix it so I've subsequently SysRestored to before the regedit.

Anyways, I need suggestions on how to enable monitor without corrupting DX. Everything is up to date as far as I can see btw.

    Thanks,
    Lethal.
