Cold sore and oral sex.....

I have a cold sore at the moment and am due to spend the next week with my boyfriend on holiday. My question is at what point of having a cold sore is it safe to give oral sex? I have heard they are only contagious when they are 'weeping'. I don't know how true/false this is. Can anyone offer advice please?

I wouldnt recommend it, its not worth the risk. And remember Herpes isnt just for christmas its for life.

Have to agree with Pirate there...I would not recommend it. I am not a doctor but better safe then sorry..your can have fun anyway without oral sex...
