Ouch! +6 for the first round ... 16 off the pace. Not a stellar start methinks.

Wasn't he d/qed on his last outing over 'here' too? Bar the Mercedes, he's had a rubbish start to 09.

Ouch is right. I'd say the sponsors are feeling the same. Boo Weekley and Hunter Mahan also struggled when they played in the middle east recently too. A few years ago whenever an American PGA Tour 'star' came and played in a European Tour event they assured at least a top 10. It think it's good to see them play though and hopefully some will have a good go at the Race to Dubai.

Tee to green he was solid..... greens were a shocker and he 3 putted his first two holes out the blocks..... He'd be used to playing on carpets in the states and like all good pro's he wont be blaming himself ;)

Watched highlights last night. Course looked shocking ... I'm sure it was just the way it appeared on camera but looked poor. Mind you when they went through previous years it looked pretty much the same.

Kim bounced back well with a 65 today and looks like he'll survive for the weekend. Must have got hooked up with some of that sherbet dip in the end... :pac:

Cracking round from him on Friday but he still had 27 putts. Could have been a good few lower.

Was strange on Golf Night last night they were going on about him being a big contender for winning because of that 65. At the end of the programme the presenter, when telling people what time live saturday coverage was on at, said something like, "tune in, Anthony Kim is on the charge".

He was 12 shots behind. Their predictions were way off anyway,... could only manage a 71 today.
