Altea 1.9 Diesel, Oil Leak.....

    Hey Guys,
I have a 2004 1.9 Altea S and it is blowing oil back onto the firewall. It is happening on the top half of the engine, to the left as you look down onto it. It is towards the rear as there is no trace on the front side of the engine.
I'm wondering could it be a turbo issue?? There is a hiss as you apply the power, a friend of mine has the same car and this does the same hiss but I'm wondering if mine has gone onto some next step. Also, when you remove the dip stick or the oil filler cap there is a white steamy rise as the engine is running and possibly I think, a little bit of back pressure. I don't know if this is normal......??
Could it be a rocker cover gasket, head gasket, dodgey pipe? There is only 102000kms on the clock......
It ain't using water or overheating and has not used oil up until it started throwing it out.
    Has anyone had this before??
    Anyone have any clues?
Is this one gonna cost me????
    Thanx guys!!
    Gavin

Are you with the AA ? Give them a ring and say you cannot drive the car.. Might be something simple..

Hey Gav, i thought you said she had 62,000 miles on her! Head gasket or turbo sound like the likely culprits?

Hard to escape DI isnt it?;)

Oh, it will more than likely cost seen as shes out of warranty, i reckon you should find a good indy to do the work. I can point you in the right direction, or else the lads on here will.
