    Hi all,
Just bought an Airport Extreme from Apple. Is there anyway I can use it instead of my existing eircom router. I'm getting mixed reports on whether I can do it. The AEBS appears to be able to take a dsl line. Please help:D

The general answer is, no it can't. I recently asked a similar question about using it's PPPoE functionality instead of my Smart Telecom modem. Although AEBS can do it, it's not so reliable I believe. So I've left my AEBS as a bridge

Do you want to use it to replace the ADSL modem, or just the router? I'm confused.

I wanted to get rid of the router altogether if possible and only use the AEBS. It appears its not possible now tho. Thanks for d replies :D
