It does look a bit silly but could be fun!

Tarantino definitely has a big thing for Eli Roth.. not sure why.

What is it? A thriller? An actioner? A comedy? It looks like more self-indulgent filmmaking from Tarantino. And if it is self-indulgent, it'll be pretty poor. Taratino's riding on his name now. He was once one of the most promising writer-directors in the industry. Now, he's just like a first-year film student with a massive budget.

It's hard to disagree with that. His output after Jackie Brown has been well below what he is capable of. Too many nods, winks and patting on the back, and as shallow as a puddle.

Not a Tarantino fan and the trailer is pretty crap but I do have hope that this film is good. You can't mess up a film about Jewish soldiers hunting and scalping Nazis right? Hope a red band trailer shows the good stuff :)

Eli Roth's presence stinks of 'I'm gonna cast my drinking buddy in my film" though. If the man had a good track record that would be one thing but the only thing he ever did that was good was that Thanksgiving fake trailer for Grindhouse

I've bashed Tarantino on numerous ocassions for his lack of originality and plagiarism but still do enjoy his films and from the traielr Inglorious Basterds looks like fantastic fun. All I expect from his films these days is some ompletely off the wall dialogue, some nice violence and a bit of fun.

Cabin Fever is great fun and the Hostel films are very enjoyabel with aprt 2 being a rather underrated treat. His calymation show Chowedheads was fantastic and while he's no Pacino he has been pretty decent in his small cameos and his voice overs.

Never saw Chowedheads so I can't speak for it but i have to disagree with you on Cabin Fever/Hostels 1&2, thought they were boring and completely void of any scares. Thats just me though, a lot of people I know love those films

Didn't Kill Bill come after Jackie Brown?

In fairness, all I can say is I'm still looking forward to this one but that is a terrible trailer. Not that the contents are bad or anything, it's just terribly put together! Doesn't give a proper taste of what I imagine the film is more along the lines of. From what I have read this is a straight war movie with lacings of humour, this trailer makes it seem like a dumb comedy actioner. I'll be waiting for the proper trailer.

Looks pretty sweet to me. Should be fun, like all QT's movies.
