I'm having a problem trying to get my PC connected to my wireless router. I currently have my laptop, 360 and PS3 using it, my PC was once connected to it about a week ago but it was away for a CPU fix and since I got it back I cannot reconnect. I keep getting a limited or no connectivity message, I select the repair connection option and it stops while trying to renew the IP address and says it cannot renew the address. I have never messed around with IP address, I just leave everything as is and it has always worked till now.

I cannot understand what is wrong, I have everything set up just using the automatic setting the only thing I set up was the WEP key. I have had everything running since November and now this out of no where.

I'm using a Magnet wireless router, don't know what make or model if that helps. Any thoughts?

I think the problem is with the software used to connect wirelessly to the router. Check for a symbol related to wireless connectivity beside the clock (presume you have windows). Right click on this and enable windows zero configuration. Then connect via the windows software, you will just need to enter your WEP key twice and that should be it.

I had the same problems when I got a Belkin wireless adapter and I imagine your problem is pretty similar.

Failing that I think the problem is trying to enable windows zero configuration in the control panel somewhere.

    Hope this helps.

Well, I don't know whats after happening but my PC will no longer detect the wireless dongle. It's USB and it used to auto detect, sometimes it will and windows asks to install the drivers and software. I didn't get any with it and its always worked with the automatic drivers that windows finds but now windows magically can't find any. I don't know what make it is as there is no name anywhere on it.

My PC can no longer detect my wireless dongle and it is working as the active light is flashing. I'm climbing the walls at this stage:D.

I tried to set up a wireless connection from the control panel options but the PC won't detect the dongle so I can't do anything.
