    SpunOut.ie is hiring a Part-time Journalist/Sub-Editor

    Galway based | National focus | Youth issues | Experience and skills essential |
    Starting immediately

    SpunOut.ie is a Galway based national organisation dedicated to empowering young people. We're joining forces with a national daily newspaper to publish a new weekly youth media feature. This exciting and unique partnership will help ensure youth news, views and voices get seen, read and heard on the national stage. (....and about time too!)

    In order to help make this happen we are looking for someone who can work to tight deadlines and on their own initiative as well as working closely with the SpunOut.ie team. We are searching for a proactive and dynamic Journalist/Sub-Editor with wide ranging skills and experience in the following areas:

    • Journalism
    • Web media
    • Editing
    • Youth issues
    • Youth work
    The ideal candidate will understand and support SpunOut.ie and our mission, be passionate about youth media, be highly skilled and experienced and have top class PC, internet, organisation and coordination skills.

    This role starts immediately on a limited initial part-time contract, subject to review, working closely with the SpunOut.ie Editor and Youth Participation Officer.

    This is a once in a life-time opportunity for the right person to join a winning team in developing a national media partnership that will pave the way for a revolution in youth media in Ireland.
