to be honest and this is the truth.
If I was to go by your software ,it would mean there is more cameras in dublin than gardai.
It's become ridiculous and as others have said ,just slow down.
It was great at first ,but theres just too many camera locations now.

They're available free in the TomTom Home downloads, now that's real value.

Attach your TomTom to your computer via your usb, start up the Home program, click on Points of interest, Points of interest for Ireland and voila!

They're available on tons of websites too ever since AGS released the info a couple of months back. Do a quick Google. :)

Surely to be less than half price, it would have be under €17.50?

And bang goes that revenue stream.

It always seemed distasteful to me that someone would ask people for info on the Motor forum and then try and pimp it on the Bargain forum.

Show me where you can get it for free? Why do you think we should give something away for free that takes a lot of time and effort to compile? You are more than welcome to set up a similar site if you want to do it for free.

Do you mean the Garda speed enforcement zones? That is not what we offer on our download. We have specific locations where the Gardaí regularly set up speed traps. The Garda speed enforcement zones are long stretches of road sometimes up to 10km long where they supposedly target speeders. However there is nothing to stop them setting up outside these zones.

Last time you spammed your site here, I added a cam near my house that doesnt actually exist for the sake of having a few less cars breaking the speed limit around here. It still looks to be on your site, so your system is FAR from perfect.

come on guys! give IrishSpeedTraps a break!

IrishSpeedTraps saved me from the garda! I was over the limit and was stopped, the garda questioned me why I was over the limit. I said I shelled out 35 euros on IrishSpeedTraps and the thing was doing my head in as it just kept telling me there was a camera in every bloody corner or Ireland! How he laughed, his laugh still rings in my ears! He corrected me saying not just corners but on straight roads as well! Told me he is warning me this time and letting me go! Guess what the warning was "???" :D

Btw added a speed trap location and saw it was wrong then added another which was wrong too so added a third and all three are still there! :D All three are 60km/hr in an 80km/hr zone :P If anyone wants to know where it is PM me and I'll tell ;)

Is it included on our sat nav download? The locations on the sat nav download are not the same as the locations on the map.

Isn't it easier just to drive according to rules?

How often are they updated? Is there an automated process to copy them onto your sat nav or do you have to do it manually? Do they have a website where members can view, correct and upload new locations?

If it was why would all the sat nav companies offer this service outside of Ireland? It is there to remind you to slow down at dangerous locations.

    IrishSpeedTraps :

At the next availble opportunity please complete a U-turn back to your correct location .....Rip Off Republic :D

If that was the case, there'd be speed cameras all over the back roads of Ireland.

Its the new programming for TV3 to try and get early morning risers.

    Think you're contradicting yourself there.

use the dial in front of your steering wheel to stay under speed limit and save us hearing about you or someone else getting taken out of a car with a can opener by the fire brigade... speed camera guy - buy an ad space already you parasite:cool:

No its not a totally different debate - its absolutely relevant. Speed cameras are typically on long stretches of straight road, not "dangerous locations".

FYI all locations are dangerous if you're driving like a lunatic.

They should be located at the locations of the highest accident rates. However should we be discussing this in a Bargain Alerts forum. Open a thread in Motors and I will debate with you there.

Many people find it helpful to hear an audio alert if they go over the limit. Taking your eyes off the road to constantly check your speedo could also cause you to crash

I have paid for ads here many times using Google adwords.

I've locked your ads on Bargain Alerts a total of three times now.

If you post again shilling your wares, you will be banned!
