I was at one rally towards the end of last year and it was more like a house party. The club didn't even bother with a marquee because they expected a small crowd. When the band turned up and took up half the space in the lounge.

With the amount on the dole and cut backs what can we expect this year? I used to spend up to E60 at an average rally which would include juice, cans, grub from the Apostle ETC.

The Rally u are refering to was called the reseccion rally, the lads kept the cost to a minimum and i have to say it was a great night, you weren't surrounded by wanna bees, everyone that was there braved the elements and crap roads to get there. True biker and old style rally, those were the days, everyone went to rallys to meet up and have a laugh........

I luv Carran and the west of Ireland;)

not known a yr it hasn't been on, Dal Riada on the other hand weren't so lucky with venues since that lovely wee pub the Pypers closed their doors.

But have to say Rallys are changing the crowds are different and not always for the better..............

Not that many good venues but with the way the recession is hitting the hotel industry I am sure Dromoland would open their doors. :D

The Devil Disciples Gathering at the Man of War outside Lusk on the weekend of the Skerries road races is the best rally in Ireland AFAIK, and I'm not a member of the Disciples BTW.
