Someone I know is planning on doing their Theory Test and they want to find out if, in the Theory Test, you need to answer all the answers in the multiple choice questions to pass the question?

Not 100% sure what you mean there, but if you mean 'do you need to answer all the questions on the test correctly to pass', you don't, the pass rate is 36 questions correct out of 40, or was when i did it about three years ago.

Just to confirm that yes you do need to answer the question fully for it to be correct - there are no 'half marks'. So if the question says 'select 2 answers' then you need to get both answers correct for the question to be considered correctly answered.

+1, there are no half marks, it's a case of all or nothing i'm afraid.

It will clearly say e.g. "Select 4 answers" "You are making a long journey, what should you allow for?"

    a. Your clock may be wrong
    b. Mandatory rest periods
    c. Traffic Congestion
    d. Minor vehicle repairs
    e. Large sporting events happening on/near your route

You can answer that if you want.lol
