I heard this advertised on the radio today and thought it might be of interest.

IT Carlow will be running 15 week fast-track courses equal to Year 1 of a Higher Certificate beginning 23rd February 2009.

These courses are open to persons in receipt of qualifying payments for 12 months from the Department of Social & Family Affairs OR those persons who have received Statutory Redundancy since September 2007 who have established an entitlement to a Social Welfare payment.
