I have already put this in the feedback thread as JP beat me to the gun to start it! However I would like to make sure that everybody sees this so I hope nobody minds me posting it here too.

I would like to take the opportunity to publicly thank JP & Christine for making my life so easy at the weekend. It is plain to see in my eyes that JP & team are the best Ireland (& possibly Europe) have to offer in the poker tournament scene. I have been to and run many poker tournaments of all levels and this tournament was the best run I have ever seen.

It should also be noted how much JP cares about the players and the integrity of the tournament. The double dealing is JP's idea and gives the players many more hands per hour than any other tournament in the late stages. This obviously costs JP a lot of extra wages and should be applauded. Also the escorting of chips and managing the chip counts and top ups is second to none. I am surprised nobody noticed the actual number of chips at the end of day one and at the final table. There were 7,700,000 chips in play, at the end of day one there were 7,699,900 in the official count. By the last chip up the count was 7,700,000 exactly.

I would also like to thank all Dani & all the dealers. I did not have one player moan about any dealers to me this tournament which is again a first.

Also a big shout out to the massage girls & lounge girls - again all down to JP.

Rory & team at the Red Cow also deserve some plaudit for looking after us at such short notice. They themselves know the exhibition center is not a great venue but they helped us make the best of a bad situation and all credit to them looking after us when their weekend was already full.

Finally a big thankyou to all the players who braved it through all the weather, changes of hotel etc to make the weekend the success it was.

The short-handed will hopefully be even bigger. There will certainly be a lot more internet quailfiers due to the smaller buy in and the fact that the satellites will be network wide on Ipoker and also that Winamax will be sending over loads of eager French players again - more than this time they are confident.

Keep the feedback coming, I know we do better with the structure. There will definately be a 2500/5000 + 500 level and I am already considering lengthening the clock.

Thanks again to all who deserve it,

    Mike Lacey

    Thanks Mike,

My job looks easy when I have so many good staff on hand.

I'd like to thank Christine, Toby, Gareth, Dani and all of the dealers who all work very long hours over the course of the weekend.

Great run tournament, as guaranteed whenever JP, Christine and their team are involved. Chip integrity and everything else was impeccable.
