Was watching a Necro Butcher compilation last night and there was a match with him and Samoa Joe on it that I have to say was one of the,if not THE stiffest match I have ever seen,Ive watched it twice since and still cant get over the brutality.I was just wondering what other posters believe to be the stiffest match they have ever seen and if possible could they post (legal)links as I for one am sick to death of modern day "prime time" family friendly crappy WWE wrestling.Below is a highlight reel from the match I mentioned.

*****If this contravenes the charter then by all means mods feel free to delete/lock*****

Low Ki Vs KENTA at ROH Final Battle 2005

Cannot find a link, but the match is fantastic and stiff as god knows what. One of my favourite matches ever. Not because it is stiff, but because it is just a great great match.

I know its not much compared to that Joe/Necro match, but I always thought that Perfect / Michaels from Summerslam 93 looked pretty stiff. Sticks out in my mind.

Gotta check it out again, haven't seen it in years, maybe its just two of the best ever artists making the contest look extremely realistic!

Get your hands on some 90's All Japan for some gloriously stiff wrestling, esp when Misawa and Kawada go all head droppy on each other and decide to invent new moves mid-match or when Kobashi opens up with the chops.

Also Stan Hansen Vs Vader from New Japan in the 90's where Hansen punches Vader's eyeball out of his head is pretty brutal.

In ROH, Low Ki Vs Joe from one of the early shows in 2002 is pretty stiff, as are th closing stages of McGuiness Vs Danielson from the Liverpool debut show (stiffest match i've ever seen live, check out the legit shots to the ringpost in the closing stretch, McGuiness' head just explodes. Also the Joe/KENTA/Danielson three way from 2007 was so stiff all three wrestlers were knocked silly from legit shots at various stages of the match.

Any punch Necro throws in the ring is pretty close to the real deal so kep loking at his stuff. As are Roderick Strongs chops and Low Ki, KENTA, Masaaki Mochizuki and Davy Richards kicks.

Most Japanese wrestling will have stiffness to varying degrees so keep watching that as well.

I saw some documentary thingy on TG4 I think years ago and there was a woman who wrestled in Japan and it was bloody hardcore. Women blading, using fire, tacks and barbed wire was a crazy site at the time as I was just used to seeing Sable's tits!

vader v cactus jack in WCW.

i ain't the most clued up on wrestling outside of the US, so there's probably a lot stiffer out there, but this amazed me when i first saw it.

the sound of cactus' nose breaking is crazy

"Let's do something special" I think were Jack's words to Vader - he was just supposed to open him up by punching down on his brow/temple.

Yeah, I remember this too. Wish I knew what it was called so I could try find it. I think I remember something about one of the women actually looking pretty nice, trying for a record deal while still wrestling the hardcore style.

That was it ,yep. It was bloody gruesome from what I remember. Bare in mind though I was a WWF mark and the most hardcore matches I'd seen were the WM13 Submission match and Hell in a Cell 1 agus 2 and both of those were about 10years behind Japan!
