Cheers - totally forgot about this show. Season 1 was pretty good once they got past the "Monster of the week" format

Fantastic news. Season 1 was brilliant, and the casting of the Devil (Ray Wise) was genius.

Season 2 Episode 1- Episode IV: A New Hope.

What a great title, not out yet, can't wait should be good.

    Isn't Andi so hot!!

    Just watched S02E01.
Good start to the new season although it was way too predicatable that the guys would get their jobs back and that Sam would get back together with Andi. by the end of the episode.

They have setup the new season nicely now with Sam having a mission to get out of his contract with the devil

Good first episode. Really set up the rest of the season. Ray Wise was great as the devil as usual. Poor Sock :D

Son of a b*tch. Can't believe that that's it... It just ended like a regular episode - not even a season finale, let alone a series finale. It's been an interesting ride, but I guess we'll never find out what happens. RIP Reaper.

    That was stupid alright.

I disagree. It ended like a finale - the story arc of challenging the devil was brought to a head and a new story arc was (unfortunately given the show's demise) set up with the God angle and Andy's soul. Definitely a season finale, if not a spectacular one.

So it was cancelled!? Bastards! Season 2 was amazing, really enjoyed it!:mad:

Really enjoyed the second season and I'm sad to see it go. I did wish that Sam had beat the devil instead and the series ended with complete closure, but I very much expected that was not going to happen (as always, the writers typically find out too late that they have been axed). So now I'm down to only one show on the CW that I give a crap about: Supernatural...

Can't believe it ended the way it did, hopefully another network will pick it up because there is plenty of life left in it. I'll miss sock the most, his one liners are hilarious. The bit in the last episode where he was telling benji about the "shark attack" had me in stitches.

Apparently the show is touted to be picked up by other networks, however,Sock is starting a new sitcom which I think is a vehicle for him and the guy that plays sam has a few movies coming up, so hopefully if it does get picked up the cast will return.
Hated the first season but it reminded me of Buffy abit and that was fairly crap starting off too, so I persevered and thought season2 was excellent.I wish networks would give shows a chance to grow and give people a chance to get into them, instead of just cancelling them before they even stand let alone crawl.I think the evidence speaks for itself when you look at shows like Seinfeld, Buffy and even Stargate SG1, all crap for at least first and sometimes 2nd series and then they go on to be massively successful.

I very much Tyler Labine (Sock) would return to a small network show after having landed a lead role in a show on a bigger network. He's gone no matter what else happens to the show.

Agree with you though - it started off very weak, with the "monster of the weak" syndrome. The producers though realised it and jettisoned it for the second season, spending most of the time on other storylines and even resolving the soul bit within a couple of minutes.

It was a season finale but not really a great one. It was a great season and I hope that it gets picked up by another network. I really want to see where they are going with Sam and The Devil and what God has planned. I wonder how they will write out Sock if it gets picked up again?

    It's been cancelled methinks.

I know Tyler Labine (Sock) is starring in a new sitcom starting next month (EDIT 2: Actually.. not til midseason: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sons_of_Tucson).

EDIT: Tyler Labine had this to say about the future of Reaper (source):
Just got official word that there is absolutely no chance of Reaper going another year. It has been dropped by all involved. Boooo. But on a brighter note, There is a comic book coming out and there is some serious talk of it being turned into a cartoon. That could be sweeeeet. I would definitely be into doing a voice on that show. So, I guess thats it. I am officially going to be turning this into a Tyler Labine fan page and would be flattered if you all would stay on board with me. I've become quite fond of chatting with all of you. Nice to know you're out there. If not, that's cool too. Thanks for all of your support guys. For real, you've been awesome fans. None better out there. Talk soon. TY
