Thumbs up polar customer service

    So i broke the rear clips on the back of my polar cs200 the ones on the unit that clip into the bike mount. so gave polar uk service a buzz and they replaced the back casing of the unit free of charge. My only expense was the cost of postage to the uk about €2.50. They even posted the unit bak to me priority post free of charge>

    €2.50 - Polar might be good but An Post a rip off :-).

    But seriously thats great news. I have found Polar helpful in the past as well.

    tried to get a battery replaced in a chest strap once basically told me to f off so never bought polar since sounds like they may have improved (is it same polar as heart rate monitors )

    I'm sure what they actually told you is that the chest strap is a sealed unit and as such the battery can't be changed - that's a bit different to f off.
    Your problem seems to be with the product and not the customer service

    just to add that my dad has had many dealings with polar customer service and they always bend over backwards to help him

    There are 2 types of chest strap anyway the sealed one and the one you can replace battery yourself, a jeweller can probaly do it for you

    I think you can send back the sealed chest strap to polar and they will change the battery....
