How Successful Would Kurt Angle Be If He Returned To The WWE?

I've been thinking about this alot lately, and I'm really not sure about it. On the one hand, Angle left on pretty good terms with the WWE, he was just worn out and the WWE's schedule was literally killing him. If he returned he very well possibly could pick up where he left off by becoming one of the WWE's top draws/titleholders. He could get back in the WWE's world title hunt and have many memorable feuds with many new stars that he never really got a chance to properly feud with (Cena, Orton, Batista, etc).

However, there is a plausible chance that, if he returned, he would never be quite as successful as he was due to the possibility that Vince could hold a slight grudge against him for leaving for TNA and helping the new promotion get on its feet (Angle pretty much put TNA on the map). I know Vince would not completely bury him, but he very well possibly could limit Angle's future success in the WWE.

So, what do you think would happen if Angle returned to the WWE? How successful would he be in his second stint with the company?

If Angle was to come back, he would not go very far due to his neck injuries. Bit like the Undertaker, he only wrestles now and again.

I think he could do wonders for the WWE product. He is still a fantastic wrestler and great on the mic. If he was used sparingly and in the right fueds, it would be excellent.

Wasnt he just really really fed up with wwe before he left?

I dont see angle ever returning to wwe ever unless tna goes bust, and even then i wouldnt say so.

He wasn't fed up, he was released for his own health

Kurt would jump at signing with WWE if he got the chance

    Oh yeah, forgot about that.

But with all the stuff he has said about wwe, well more vince and HHH do you think he would?

Swap being pushed and used effectively in a promotion with have the work load and nowhere near as much traveling or working for Vince and Trips?

    I know which I would choose. :o

But Kurt could be different i guess.

In response to the original question. I would like to see angle go back to wwe because there could be some great feuds with some wrestlers who he never really had the chance to go at it with before he left.

He'd succeed alright, but only in proving that he could destroy the credibility of his own finishers almost as quickly as his own vertrbrae.

I just don't ever see him going back, when he was let go from WWE, he was being talked about as being "on the brink of death". I don't care how successful he could be if he went back, I just couldn't see him going back to Vince and asking for a job!

As stupid as the Main Event Mafia is imo, it's the best any of those involved could be doing for themselves in any promotion, none of them would be massively successful individually in WWE but they are all dong very well in TNA.

    Would he be successful?
If it was up to him individually, then yes he could probably have very good fueds with Taker, Cena, Edge, Christian.
But more importantly, it wouldn't be up to him, it would be up to Vince and in that situation I don't see him doing anything of notice, seeing what Vince has done with Christian, I can't see him bending over backwards to make Kurt a huge star given he's already reached his peak and has his best matches past him.

Have you not seen his matches with Nagata, Styles, Joe and Abyss last year?

I would love to see Angle back in the WWE and if he returned he would be successful but i doubt TNA would let go one of their top if not the top asset.

He was pure gold on the mic (he could show Santino a thing or two) remember sexy Kurt :D

Some of his statements about WWE and HHH after his release might not mean he would be welcomed back even though he did speak the truth

i say he will because he is a top name at the end of the day

He'll be back. They all go back eventually. Only ones that don't are the ones Vince holds a real grudge against and I don't think Angle comes into that category.

Only thing is he probably wouldn't be able to wrestle a full WWE schedule but I can see them working something out that would be less taxing on his body.

I don't think such a schedule really exists anymore as Undertaker and HBK work a fair (if not all) amount of house shows.

He's at them a hell of a lot more often than never. Nearly monthly at the very least. (normally)

Have you seen his shoot interview? He's much more complimentary towards WWE and Vince and he admits that he talks a lot of **** sometimes
