Anybody intersted in starting a good Covers band in CORK?

Hey there people

Ive posted many threads here in the last 12months or so looking for people in cork and the surrounding areas to start a band.
Im 29 yrs old and am looking for serious people who love their music who are willing to invest their time and energy in getting a good band together.
Unfortunately i havent any proper gigging experience even at my age:eek: but im a quick learner and am very enthusiastic.Im a bit of a late bloomer to be honest and its only in the last few years that ive improved as a musicians and feel i have the confidence now to be good enough to play in a band.
Im into alot of different types of music,all types of rock/pop/metal/blues/jazz etc etc.Im not against writing or playing our own material but would prefer to play covers to begin with to gain a bit of experience.

Ive been in contact with a few people here over the last 12months after putting up ads but nothing has ever come out of it properly.
This last chance saloon people as im abit fed up with posting on this forum and will look else where if i have to so im putting this thread up as my last to see if i can meet up with a few like minded musicians to get a band together.

Ideally looking for people with a positive attitude and who are commited to the cause.no time waisters need apply.

Thanks for the reply.Ive no bother with your age as i met up with a guy before xmas who answered my ad here who was 43.Theres too many young people here who are unreliable so id prefer to play with people my own age or older.
Id be up for meeting for achat/jam some evening when your free.im living in douglas myself.
I do a bit of singing myself but am mainly a guitar player.Im into alot of different types of music and play both acoustic &electric.

Hey Colin. Sorry I haven't been on to you in the last few weeks. I've been on work experience for college and busy in general. Things are starting to calm down a bit though so if you're up for a chat about some potential musical shenanigans that'd be good!

Im looking for another guitar player,drummer,bass and possibly keys or other instruments as im very open minded.
I would be looking for people who are willing to commit their time to one band my friend so if your playing in multiple projects then your not wat im after but thanks anyway.

Nah mate im based in the city unfortunately.your at the right age too of what id be looking for as im 29 myself and would prefer to be in aband with older wiser peoplelike myself .

Hey been looking 2 start a covers band in cork so just thought id throw my name in there! Im only 16 which im guessing will be a problem but mature for my age (still love having a good laugh tho :-P) i play bass for the last year and a half nd will play anything that has a good beat to it nd if u were interested sum spoof songs (weird al yankovich nd the likes) i will ofc put all the time i possibly can into it, quick learner nd i cn usually learn a song in 30 mins to an hour.
