OK; I quit

    Ok; I quit.

Being a Christian does not mean being either a mug, or being used as a punchbag.

By those who hate Jesus and all He stands for.

Where my Spouse is not welcome, there will I not tread.

There are some fine and beautifull people of deep Christian faith here; they deserve better than what is being said and done.

    You have my deepest sympathy
    .
    Please also remove that image?

Yes it offends deeply - as it was truly intended to do. Please thus remove it now.

And no Christian group would allow such a thing.

Shame on you; deep shame on you. Such a great pity. Such malice and spite. Shame on you now.

You win; or do you? To not know the love of the Lord Jesus is the worst fate in the entire world. We weep for you.

    For your loss.

But as Jesus bids, where we are not made welcome, we are to shake the dust off our feet.

We bless you and hold you close to Him in prayer always.

    Prayer goes on.

    Always and forever.

    Malice? Mild humor, I thought.

No, it wasn't intended to. Regardless of that, the image of Martha Stewart has been removed.

What the hell is going on here? Is this person sick of atheists and christians arguing on the forum? If so, i can agree. It is pitiful and pointless. There is nothing to come of arguing for or against something that can't be proven. Just get on with your life, live and let live and let tolerance prevail.

    Internet martyr. Quite common.
It's funnier when they 'prophecy the coming storm', but that, as they say, is another story.

sorella, it was nice to have you on, and it's a shame that you are not going to return. Indeed the debate can get rather intense on here, and indeed there are many people who despise Christianity and Christian teaching and there will always be, this is just the way that life is. I wish you the best of luck anyway.

If by this you mean the Atheists, then you're being rather unfair. It would be a mistake for you to think that we act or speak in hatred or defiance of God of Christ. We may resent the influence and some of the morals of the religions, but we have no belief in the existence of God or the divinity of Christ. And we certainly cannot hate things which we believe do not exist. We do not hate Jesus, we merely think that he is a mere human who may once have existed. We do not hate all that he stands for, we accept pretty much his entire moral framework whilst reserving the right to differ on some points.

This is not anger, rebellion or delusion. We believe we are correct, as certainly as you do.

Lurking here, was this split from another thread? Moved from atheism?

In all fairness, while you make fun of this woman I ask you to remember this. She is 'living' what she speaks. Its not idle talk, or all in her head ideals etc. This woman dedicates herself to the need of others motivated by Christs example of Love. She worships him in action, letting her faith and Love bare fruit in selflessness. While we sit around tip tapping on keyboards, stroking each others ego's, and letting everyone know how clever we are, this woman see's human suffering and acts on it. Not in a detached way, with tithes or donations, but with her life. She is actually making a real difference to people.

So whatever your creed or views, I say, show some repect. People like this are worth much more than any of us idle talkers! How about, instead of 'witty' remarks, do something useful like volunteer just for one day at your local Salvation Army or whatever your atheist equivalent is.

    That's all fine and well.

But we're talking about an individual who suddenly appears out of nowhere a few days ago. Claims they are a nun, has their opinion challenged and then leaves "a woe is me" letter announcing their equally sudden departure due to hurt feelings.

No one is ridiculing her, rather the manner in which they are leaving.

Sorella has been around for a while.

Folks, let's keep the smart-arsed responses out of this thread. Roger?

Can somebody explain what she's trying to say here? Has she quit being a nun or just quit boards? It's a bit disjointed and hard to get the jist of.

Sorella seems to be quitting boards but I'm not sure why.

Sorella, you appear to have your PM's disabled. If you wouldn't mind sending PDN, Asia or myself a PM explaining your position and maybe we can sort this out amicably.
