You have to be putting the serial in wrong Mate.

Who owns it? You or your Bro?

The license number should read something like RSN300-47j8-etc etc make sure you put in lower/higher case letters where appropriate and also put in these things: - (as far as I remember).

Presumably the License is only valid for one Install? Isn't that the most likely issue?

license is valid for many installs. but remember that you must have the original disk with the libraries on it, in the machine.. it acts as a protection device.

Ah I see .... and is there anything stopping copying the disc and therefore Licence?

One would think it was a more secure process than that?

    nope.

a lot of them seem to be moving away from heavy protection now.. just the other day i got a waves user survey asking would i prefer ilok or simple challenge/response.

i think they've seen the success cakewalk have had with a simple auth code. cuts on stupid costs (synchrosoft anyone?) which can then be passed onto the end user.

The Reason license agreement says that you are allowed to install it on 2 different systems but only the license holder is allowed to use it. So its definately open to abuse but I'm sure they must be aware of that.

ok so i should get my bro to install it on my laptop?because when i entered the license number it had 3 different boxes. User-Name/Organsation and license number so maybe i need his user name that he registered it with on the reason website maybe?and yeah i have all the original cds that came with the package, the 1st actual reason install, 2nd disc the orkester sound bank r watever nd the 3rd factory sound bank.if there the right names.

oh and its my brothers too, he bought it a while ago.

thanks for all the replies, appriciate it.(i cant spell very well)
