    Hi there,

I've had 2 multi region DVD players, all served me well a Lite-on replaced my trusty 'region B' Sony (great for DVD playback but not multiregion)
and then I bought the Oppo which was/is great too but to be honest I would buy a HD upconversion player or better still a blu ray player which while region locked for Blu ray, most are region free for DVD's

    Hope this helps

    CS
PS of course you can buy a multiregion Blu ray player (but expensive)

Pick a Bluray/DVD player and I will probably have the region code for you with in a day.
My Sony BDP350 has no dvd region.......

Only the dvd part. The Bluray part needs a special "chip".

If you just want a general dvd player that can be made multi region, try Philips, virtually all of them can be made MR with the remote control that comes with them - for instance the Philips DVP 3980, upscaling with HDmi output, Divx certified, €55.15 ordered online from Powercity, collect instore if you like, http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-19-P3980 has a straightforward hack using the remote control, see here for details: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/philips-dvp-3980/9312.

I've done it to a few different Philips dvd players, it's a doddle.

For details of how to MR hack other dvd players, go here: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks and put in the make/model number.

    Ritz.
