Only stumbled across it by accident on Play.com when looking for something else. Looks to be B-Movie fare of the highest caliber - can't wait.

Absolutely a B-movie, but a pretty good film overall. Nice and gory too.

Didnt they morph into human form in the first one as well? It was there were 3-4 models each acting more human like then the prior?

Yes. I always felt Stargate (TV) ripped off Screamers with the replicators.

oh man this movie is bad

It's just on the edge of good bad though. I mean I laughed more than anything as the acting is just atrocious.

What I found absolutely hilarious was their supposed futuristic space suits which basically looked like they had just got some stuff from a local motor/dirtbike clothing outlet and a few army helmets.

I mean its not a patch on the original, but as a "so bad its good" movie it's definitely worth a watch. I guess it was too much to expect something like Pitch Black
