Hmm..1984ish kerry reg..that would make it interesting to me anyway, hard to see how bad the car is though.Whats the history behind it,if it was sold here new id be pretty certain it was sold by Billy naughtons Volvo in tralee, though i have a feeling it was an english import, would i be right?:)

i don know if it was imported or not. it was owened by a District Judge before my dad bought it about 15 years ago so good chance it it an irish car.

Does your dad know what judge owned it?Do you think you will restore it?

That alto looks ok from the front. If it was me I'd do the alto as it would be super rare in ireland and would be cool to drive around as very few people would know what it was. It won't be worth much but to me it would be unique.

Like everything else in life it's worth it if you feel it's worth it.

What I will say is that cars in that condition are usually money pits - getting them up to any kind of decent, drivable standard is going to cost you a lot of money. Without a shadow o a doubt it'll cost many, many multiples of what the cars would be "worth" on the open market.

So it's really a personal question - is it worth it to you to sink several thousands of euro into getting your Dads old car back on the road, for sentiments sake alone? Don't look at it as a "sure, I can sell it and make the money back" - that won't happen. But if it's worth it to you then go for it.

I reckon it's a 1983 reg. We had an old Massey 165 first registered in 1983 Reg 4690 ZX.

@joeySully, I recognise the Audi 100 in the background from adverts. What's the logo on the front doors?

I would doubt it - not in the near future anyway. TBH i was just checking to see if there would be any interest from people in the "classic" world that would appreciate them well to see if they are worth advertising for sale. Volvo is to dam heavy to be working on TBH and the alto well LHD and wouldnt enjoy driving it anyway.
