    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good astronomy website that is suitable for children please? My 10 year old is very interested, I've bought him a telescope for his birthday next week and he would love to get more information online.

    Thanks:)

The web was not around when I was that young but I imagine that if he was as much a buff as I was that the Nasa website would be good. I used to get uni books on the subject when I was his age.

I like to keep an eye on Hubbsite.org . I find it a good site and they have a clip on it every month telling you what to watch out for in the sky that month. Some cool pics of the universe too.

Hey OP, I can't for the life of me remember the name of the site, but you can book a time slot to use and control a telelscope in some huge American observatory online for up to an hour I think. You have to book a few days in advance as far as I know but he should love it.

    Give it a google!

Thanks for all the replies, I've saved them in my favorites for my son to look at. Very interesting.
