floating wall!?!?!?

    ok guys,
    new build,block wall has moved on the dpc,a fresh crack all along the bottom which shows it has moved when u hit the wall the sound is very different to other walls.
    not plastered yet so im asking wots the best way of sorting this out??
    outside leaf shows no sign of a crack,crack on insided is about 4-6 mm
    its been chased and drilled and dust had settled,only found the crack when having a tidy up!!!
    any help???

    Get professional advice. We can only speculate here but if your external wall has become "unstructural" then you will need an engineer to take a look at it.

    Id agree with Slig on this. Get a structural engineer to have a look.

    In any event our charter doesnt allow us to offer advice on structural elements.

    i thought u might have put my mind at rest and said
    "sometimes the dpc does move a small bit"
    but nothing in life is that simple!!

    now golden pages time lol
    and sorry should have read the charter and not skimmed it lol,my bad
