Quick query, anoy used this http://www.myvietnamvisa.com/vietnam-visa-cost.html or anything like this to get a visa for vietnam. I am traveling in 2 weeks (short notice, onyl found out over the weekend), and only other way to apply is via emhbassy in london, which i need to send my passport over etc, and am afraid it will take too long.

Just sounds a bit odd, that you can apply on line, and receive your visa on arrival in vietnam.

    Thanks,
    Wexfordman

Call the embassy yourself and ask them, or else get a fast post to them. You might be quicker flying over to London yourself for the day.

I used a travel agent in Vietnam (Ann Tours). They actiually met me at the airport to process the visa.

It's all pretty straightforward. You must enter by one of the three international airports listed and you can't even board a flight to Vietnam without the approval letter.

I talked to the Dept of foreign affairs here in Dublin, who supplied a broken link an incorrect email address and told me to contact the embassy in England. I tried reaching them, but their website refers you to their "visa helpline" (a recorded message) while the helpline message refers you to the website. Opting to talk to an operator automatically disconnects the call.
Apparently I can apply for the visa by post, but I don't know what the Visa fee is - it isn't mentioned anywhere. Anybody any ideas?
