Boards ac race league table

Right guys even more motivation for us and another way to see how we rank with our fellow clubmates.
A while ago I asked a question of how we could get some kind of league table going for our members based on races around the country. I got responses from Stupid Private and Racing flat but not quite the answers I was looking for. Step up Stupid Private again and he comes up with this little gem http://www.raceleague365.com/default.aspx
So I have registered Boards ac and if anyone wants the password to join the boards ac league just pm me and I'll send it back to you. The league also takes gender and age into consideration, it's your best 7 performances out of 10 and its road and track races but you can still enter your xcountry results. Check it out and get back to me. I assume I'm winning as I'm the only one registered so far, no doubt robinph will be first in to drop me a place :D

And a big thanks to Stupid private for coming up with such a good site, its exactly what I was looking for ;)

Just a quick update to that - it's your best 7 races of the year that count. You're not limited to how many races you run. As woddle said, cross country races can be added so you can keep track of them, they just don't get added to your league position. Hope this works out well for you.

I've only got the one road race done so far so you get to stay ontop for the moment.... but don't get too comfortable in that lofty position up there. ;)

Send me on the details to join the BAC league though, please.

This makes me want to sacrifice back to back long runs at the weekend just to run the cupids dash and get my first race of 2009 in the bag.

That's a really great idea and site. Similar to the idea of athlinks but with much less fat - I love it. Really well done sp.

Great Site and well done for introducing it to us:cool:
But please forgive my ignorance with IT-speak :o, how do I "pm" you.

Does the site just consider races completed in 2009 for the league positions? Shame this, as my scoring from second half of last year is quite good!

PM is private message. If you left click once on Woddle's name in the left hand column, a drop down list of options will appear. The second one down is "send a private message to woddle", Click on this and there is a box to type your message and when you've typed that in, hit submit to send.

Cheers mrak. On a totally different note, do you know how fast I have to run this weekend to get back to the top of the table?!

You can still enter your 2008 times but they won't appear on the league table. A new league starts from scratch every year. I set it not to back date the tables from years before. 2009 is the first league table.

I guess this is why I don't appear in the league yet, as my only 2009 race is an XC.

Fantastic site and well done to whomever (SP?) constructed it. As Woddle said it's extra motivation and it allows you to track your progress (or regress :().
    Hope everyone signs up.

Hi there, just wondering if you could give me some details about Boards AC. I have begun running in the IMRA events and only realised today that Boards AC is an online group. I am not a member of any AAI club and would be interested in being part of a team in the IRMA events, as it entices you to run harder. How do I go about joinig BAC etc. Your response would be appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Uaithne

Ok I'm def going to do a sticky this weekend and try answer the most asked questions.

Will you be at the 3rock race, if so I'll be there to explain Boards ac the club and I'm sure donothoponpop can get you going in the IMRA Boards team.

Sorry, I don't think I will make it to that race as I plan to go to Waterford the following Sunday for the John Tracey 10 mile classic. There's no panic I will talk to you at a later IMRA race, though I'm not definately saying no to Ticknock just yet as I enjoyed Howth and Hellfire so much.

    Cheers.

Sorry, I should have replied before now, but in the end I did indeed decide to run at Ticknock last night. It was very enjoyable and hopefully won't take a toll on Sunday. I see you also ran and hopefully we can talk at one of the upcoming races about BAC. I am not a runner as such seeing as gaa football is my No.1 sport, but I do enjoy it and BAC may suit me as there is no pressure to attend training etc or is there ?

    Cheers
