So while you guys get to enjoy not having to stay up all night to watch the 6N, us down south are getting ready for the world's "second" best rugby club competition to kick off.
This year looks to be pretty open, the usual suspects in NZ expect to go well but the crusaders may have a tougher time of it without Deans and Carter.
The SA teams will expect to bounce back and a very ordinary tournament last year, the stormers could potentially be a surprise package for the finals.
The aussie teams are probably going to be the most unpredictable of all this year; the waratahs have lost some serious firepower up front with Vickerman, Elsom, Dunning, Kepu, Lyons gone as well as the coach who guided them to 2 final appearances. They will be looking to the young lads in the back line to score early and often.
The brumbies are probably the most complete package of the the 4. The have got a good mix of tough forwards, probably the best back-row in the comp with some world class talent in the backline. If key players like Smith and Mortlock can stay injury free they should be there or there abouts.
The Western Force have a backline chock full of wallabies including the best out half in the SH at the moment. The pack is very lighweight though and they have had a multitude of off the field & management problems.
Queensland could be great. The have a potentially great young team. But they may be another year away from getting the right mix of youth and experience though the former all-black braid will help.

Anyone want to play ? http://s14fantasy.foxsports.com.au
This is probably the best fantasy rugby competition around, you have $110 million to assemble a 22 man squad. You get/lose points for everything from line breaks to knock ons. It resembles the fantasy premier league format.

    League Code: 2041-1823

Went to see the Force against the Lions tonight and it was an absolute cracker. The Force ran in 8 tries on their way to a 55-14 win. Giteau helped himself to 20 points while James O'Connor picked up the Man of the Match award. He's gonna be a superstar.

Is Giteau definitely heading the Brumbies way next year?

Yeah it's nailed on that he's leaving.

Also been confirmed that Drew Mitchell is off to the Waratahs. Disaster losing both.
