Having more than antivirus programs installed at any one time quite often causes problems.

Try booting into safe mode - restart, and press F8 repeatedly as the computer is starting up, then choose safe mode when the selection screen appears.

Run the antivirus in safe mode and see if you can get rid of it that way.

Cheers mate, i ran through it like that and couldn't find it, i ran Hijack this and it couldn't find it so i saved a few important files and formatted the hard drive, at least its fixed now :o AVG uploaded already so it doesn't happen again :)

I would reccomend having a look at http://www.k7computing.com/ they are a relatively new company but have a great reputation already in providing antivirus software. Also as already said too if you are installing a new piece of antivirus software you should make sure any existing programs are off your computer as it will just slow the current one down.
