Feedback needed for Dublin 100

I want to keep the Dublin 100 on the Northside of the city (close to the airport) as I think there is not much by way of tournaments over here.....

However, I'm finding it very hard to find a suitable pub. Three pubs have turned me away so far even though I'm offering to bring in punters on a Sunday when they would otherwise be only half busy (recession obviously isn't affecting the pubs too much :) ).

Any suggestions, preferably not a pub that already has a tournament running in it as I don't want to step on other organisers toes....Can't go for a hotel as I make zero from the tournament if there is a room hire cost involved.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.

If you don't allow people to drink at the tables, then they wont buy any drink. pubs don't want their premises filled up with non-drinkers.

Not sure if this is a runner or even if its too close to city centre. Tom Maye's pub, corner Dorset St and North Frederick Street, has an upstairs which he rarely uses. Normally only opens it for All Irelands, etc. It could easily hold about 10/12 tables (imo) and has a separate bar upstairs. Its easily accessible from Northside and the 46A runs past it from Southside. Not far from Connolly also, dart and luas.

Course he could tell you to fcuk off too, but he's a decent fellow.

    Genius :p

Players can drink at our smaller tournaments now.....Brought that in a few months back.

    Crowne Plaza ftw

Cheers to all for the feedback....I thought you were spoiled for choice on the Southside with JP and Vegas Nights.....I'm going to look into the suggestions above.

JP's games on the Southside are all around Tallaght/Walkinstown area, don't know about Vegas nights.

The Big Tree on Dorset St, there is enough room in the place anyways until the GAA starts back in Croker.
