Registration with Fas

    Anyone know how I would go about registering with Fas?
    And what is the exact process involved in registration??

    Ring up and find out what times your nearest office takes new registrations (eg in Galway it's 2-4pm ... or was a couple of months ago).

    Go in.

    Fill in a form (pretty basic stuff).

    Hand it in a the counter.

    Sit and wait for an officer to see you.

    Have a ten minute chat.

    Get a letter from the receptionist saying you're registered.
    This step is optional, but can make it easier if anyone asks later ...
