    EDIT...

can someone offer advice, not legally binding advice ;)

wondering if i could get some help on here about an issue which im starting to get annoyed about...

i bought two items of clothing from a uk based store, in december. i paid with credit card. when i recieved the items during the last week of december, they were way too big for me.

i returned them within the, i think 11 day period allowed for returns and asked for smaller sizes. i then got an email from the guys in there saying that the jeans were out of stock and they had another pair which were similar. the shirt he would send on. i told him that other pair of jeans weren't great and i'd rather wait until the ones i ordered came into stock. he never replied. over a month now.

last week i rang and asked to speak to the manager. the guy who answered told me he was the manager. he was very apologetic and told me they'd send the shirt and send me a refund for the jeans. he asked me just to send him a mail stating everything and he'd get it sorted. i mailed him. he never replied.

am i being too nice? out of principle now i dont want anyhting off them. and to be honest, i could do with the refund on my credit card. they are based in the uk, is there anyway of threatening them or making them take note of me?

if there staff are useless thats one thing, but if the so called management are uselss too, who do i complain too then. ideally i'd like to send them a solicitors letter now.

    any help is greatly appreciated

Not legal advice: Call your credit card company - dispute the charges, as you've not gotten the goods, same said were returned. Seek a credit. No need for a solicitor - at all.
