BAFTA coverage last night. Time delay?

Was last nights coverage of the BAFTAs on BBC1 time delayed? I would assume so as they was a fair amount of foul language which was all beeped out correctly.

Is it standard practice to delay awards shows like these? Or is it only when certain people are appearing on them?

Fairly standard practice I'd've thought, especially since it's fairly family-oriented programming, despite it being on after the watershed.

I heard Brendan Gleeson say 'shít' very load & clear during his acceptance speech for In Bruges, at around 8.45 or thereabouts. That's pretty much the only part of the show I saw. Was it only the 'F' word they bleeped out, then?

Other than Brendan's 'shít' the only other swearing I recall was Mickey Rourke and Mick Jagger using the f word which was bleeped. Other than that everyone was on their best behaviour.

My understanding is that the show actually started about 7pm - and was recorded "as live" giving editors an hour to bleep swear words or whatever.

Let's face it - the BBC weren't going to allow JR to present this live, given recent circumstances.
