    Hi,

I have just checked out the latest news regarding the Home Energy Saving Scheme from Sustainable Ireland and it turns out that windows are not covered by the grant ?
    http://www.sei.ie/Grants/Pilot_Home_Energy_Saving_Scheme/
I can't understand this as single glazed windows are a major source of heat loss. I need to replace all windows, which are single glazed and was hoping I could avail of a grant for this.
Does anyone know an explanation for this ?

    Thanks,
    Ben

they are only putting in the region of €100 million into the scheme initially so if they were to include windows the money wouldn't last very long.

I assume if it takes off the listed items will be added to over time
