Power increase?

So, as you are all aware the laws concerning airsoft devices may end up being changed.

If there were regulations with regards to ownership of airsoft devices, it would be safe to assume that airsoft device owners will become a lot more responsible in their use, out of fear of losing their licence or what ever.

If something like this was imposed, do you think it would be unreasonable to campaign for slightly increasing the power allowed in airsoft guns before they are classified as firearms?

Obviously this would have benefits to the airsoft community, but it has its flaws too. i.e. adds to the risk of injury.

    What are your thoughts?

i've thaught about this aswell but for your average assault rifle 1j is enough but maybe in in single shot snipers there could be a power increase allowence as there isnt much advantages to them at the moment being the same power as other guns

    380fps Auto
    450fps Semi
    550fps Bolt action

with 0.20's - That's my ideal limits, with MED's obviously.

Would also love to see something like this, would really help give snipers an edge against the prevalent Hi-cap hosers :P

Come on lads have some sense, what is the point of this .You are going to undo all the good work that the IAA and IASRA have done over the past few weeks ,They have been meeting with the DOJ and have been trying not to get our sport of Airsoft banned ,We need to work together not put up silly comments and keep it to pm's.All their good work that they have achieved will very quickly be undone and we could find ourselves with nothing at all .:mad:Regards Evelyn

I've been sniping for god knows how long and I'm pretty happy with the 1 joule limit because it aways seems to end up up close and personal for me and the MER would be a bit iffy for someone that has no idea how to accurately judge the distance

Please humour me as to how a thread like this is undoing any work the IAA or the IASRA have done or how it may pose a threat to Airsoft in anyway? If they ban airsoft, they're not going to do it because we're asking for change in the legislation which defines what a firearm is.

Please leave ridiculous scare mongering out of this thread.

Yeah I would really like to know as well...

I would like to see limits raised, but I don't think it'll happen anytime soon. But I can wait :).

It seems you missed the bit in the charter asking people not to discuss airsoft over 1 joule.

    Thread closed.
