    Hi all

I was wondering if there is a union that would be suitable for me to join? I am a degree qualified manufacturing engineer. I work for a unionised american multinational company. None of the engineers are in a union but as the company has started rounds of redundancys, short time etc. I want to get into a union.

Would the TEEU accept a degree qualified manufacturing engineer?

Even if you join the Union the company doesn't have to recognise the union and if there isn't one in place at the moment they certainly won't recognise it now.

The company recognises SIPTU for operators and the TEEU for technicians.

Do you mean that they do not have to recognise the TEEU for engineers?
