Anyone any connection with commercial vehicles?

I am looking for a 3500kg Sprinter or similar with a 14ft plus Luton or box body. Year not important but approx 2001 to 2004.

Also looking for a large LHD saloon or estate car, anything considered, 2000 to 2008.

Bit of a long shot I know but if anyone knows of something suitable I would appreciate hearing about it.

    cheers

Large LHD Saloon or Estate - could you be more specific? Why the LHD?

As for the sprinter I'm sure you could find something on one of the many online sites.

Cant really be more specific. Would like an E class Merc or similar but considering LHD are scarce I would consider anything.
Why LHD? well if I buy a RHD the steering wheel would be on the wrong side …. :)

Theres not as many Luton bodied Sprinters around as you might think.

You can get my Lancia Kappa. It is bigger than E class Merc and is LHD.

Friend of mine's selling this LHD Wagon, might not be in your league though!

She does a 16 second 1/4 mile, which is damn impressive considering the size of her! Good for every day use if you can afford the running costs - lots of room for the dog and kids! :D

    Hi,

Do you have a particular reason for mentioning Holland? Are cars cheaper there than other european countries? From searching it seems to me that Germany could be better value.

I have a Mercedes 123T (large) Estate LHD 300TD Diesel in very good condition, but as you know it is far below your 2000. But it is Irish car with NCT, tax, etc.

    Regards.

Cars are more expensive in Holland than most countries, BPM tax similar to VRT has to be paid on all imports which runs at between 20 and 30% depending on type of vehicle and omsp. German is far cheaper, belgian cars are battered from worse than Irish roads.

    Yup,

Harwich to Hoek Van Holland with Stena
    Hull to Rotterdam with P&O
Rosslare to Roscoff with Irish Ferries is ok .. long bloody crossing though
You an go from Ireland to Holland in one day if you time it right.

I found the Belgian infrastructure to be very good!

We had a Luton Body single wheel sprinter in work, I borrowed it to move house.

Not sure if it is still there.

Be careful if buying a high milage sprinter, carbon can get past the injectors and build up under the plastic engine cover. It makes a terrible mess. Nightmare to fix
