Ok watched Appleseed, the 2004 movie tonight. Will be watching Ex Machina tomorrow.

Just a quick question for anyone that's familiar with the manga or story but why
does Briareos help Hades by allowing his landmate to escape?

The movie wasn't the best, but I thought this twist really was pointless and also not explained in the least. Anyone know why he did it?

    The 2004 film.

    The twist that
Briareos was working with Hades by purposefully missing his shot and allowing his landmate to escape

he doesn't actually explain it. I've rewatched the scene a few times. He just says
"Oh yeah, I've been working with Hades" then they jump overboard
and it isn't mentioned again for the rest of the movie

EDIT: I thought it might of been something from the manga that I've never read. Like that Briareos and Hades have a backstory together.
