Anybody have a solution to help prevent suckler cows getting mastitis when in on slats despite having slats cleaned?

    Is it E. coli mastitis?

Dry cow tubes (put in under very sanitory conditions) followed by teat sealant?

No not E Coli, had two severe cases this year where one of the quaters became very swollen and what has worried me was one of the cows was being sucked by her calf. I can understand how a cow may get it after being dried off and in this case I will use dry cow tubes in future.

If you had cubicles for the cow to lie on I would use lime.
