At Next Generation we are lucky enough to have training with us for the next few months Chad Biddle, who won Indiana state championship at 155lbs.(If you know your wrestling, you know what standard All State is!) Despite being 21 Chad has also had a mixture of 9 pro and amateur MMA fights with 1 defeat so knows what it takes to make wrestling work in the cage.

Anyway, if anyone would like to attend a 2 hour workshop on an introduction to freestyle wrestling with the emphasis on how it can compliment your BJJ or Stand up skills. We are hosting a workshop on Saturday 21st March at Next Generation Ireland from 1pm - 3pm. Cost is €15 euro, space is limited so you can pm me or email me on dj_kimura@hotmail.com to reserve a spot.

Wrestling Workshop is this Saturday 1pm - 3pm, can anyone attending please arrive about 20 mins before so you can register and warm up and maximise content of workshop. You dont need wrestling boots, but I recommend a mouthguard and bring a towel with you too, as the room is warm.

Thanks to Dave Jones and Chad for a great afternoon, I know I certainly came away with some good stuff, now all I have to do is drill it and hopefully use my new skills on Neil1984!:)
Looking forward to part 2 in the summer.

We didn't actually do the workshop, we just spent two hours asking if anyone knew where you were!

Thanks to all the participants for coming down today. There are very few opportunities in this country to gain instruction in freestyle and greco wrestling. Part 1 yesterday was on shots, singles, doubles, high crotch, russian arm control etc. Part 2 during summer will be greco throws, sprawls and sit outs etc, before Chad returns to the states in sept to coach wrestling.
