    +1.

Some of the "organisers" efforts to get the crowd going at matches lately have been cringe inducing - Leinster last year and more so Ulster at Ravenhill have been downright embarrassing :(

It trivialises what has just happened on the pitch.

Ah come on, they're just trying to get an atmosphere going, when it's all gone so corporate anyway. Seriously, we're nit-picking if that's what's bothering people. All the stadiums play 'scoring' music. Concentrate on what's happening on the pitch as opposed to what's coming over the PA

Yeah, totally agree. It's like that awful one Leinster do after scoring at their matches. The guy beside me at the game on Saturday started dancing away when the music was played. Cringe! :o

And that guy they have to call out the scores/teams is dreadful too. Can't even get the scores right.

Were you in the hill? That might have been me dancing!

Yeah i've been known to dance to the Leinster music on occasion. Nought wrong with it to be honest.

Ffs, you lot would argue about anything handy.

    The music???

But the music is why the Irish team hasn't clicked recently. And I heard the song they had before this one was Brian O'Driscolls least favourite song ever, and was obviously the reason why he was past it, and since they changed it he's back to normal.

First time it was played after a score everyone was looking around at each other going wtf is that ****!? After O'Gara's last penalty there was not a grown man in the Hill not doing some kind air punching jig! Was hilarious I thought!:D

And the drummers going around the stadium during the game actually did get the crowd going a few times tbh. Atmosphere was crap at the beginning and by the end it was great. Not as good as the England game in dickety'07, but I think money well spent by the IRFU on the drummers.

I thought the music was rubbish at croker on saturday. It kinda reminded me of the way they play music at the darts to get the crowd going.

It works at the darts, not so much at the rugby

I'm not a fan of the song Leinster use but I must say I liked the music at Croker, was a good laugh... I've never seen so many people dancing after a try (well after the second and third try anyway!). And it was a much better song than that crappy pop they were playing at Murrayfield on Sunday.

No, it was the Cusack. The chap beside me was one of the ever increasing number of "fans" who leave a few minutes before half time, probably to be first in the queue for a prawn panini or the like and then return late for the second half, invariably missing a try.

The dance was the final straw...

That's just it. For those of us in the crowd who actually enjoy the sport, the music is nothing but an unwelcome distraction. We can make our own 'atmosphere' thank you very much. It is disrespectful of the game, and of those watching it IMO. What's next, EastEnders on the big screens?

gawd ye'd argue over the smallest thing. Took my son to match on saturday - his first international. He loved every minute of it from the craic, the banter with the the french crowd beside us to the music at each score. I've been to big matches all over the world where they've always played rousing music at scores.

Wow, I never knew some people were so anti-music at matches! Wasn't mad about the new scoring music at first, but didn't mind it by the end.... but, tbh that's probably just because it was such a good game- they could have played the Manics after D'arcys try and I wouldn't have noticed!!

Have to say, didn't like the choice of pre-match music. ie. the really slow ballad-y versions of Fields of Athenry and Molly Malone. More suited to a funeral.
