The second one looks a bit more aero :D

Seriously though - buy the cheaper one. I've never used it or anything but it'll do the job just as well.

The Tacx T1810 Speedmatic Trainer is an older model. It has been on the market for a couple of years. It is very good and will do the job nicely.

The TACX T1850 Satori Trainer is their latest offering and is probably a harder turbo to use, i.e. better. That said unless you are getting into serious cycling it will be over the top.

Both are also on Chainreactions site at a better price.

Know both of these. For the ordinary everyday cyclist who just wants a Turbo for days when time/weather is against them the only real difference is that Satori makes less NOISE. Speedmatic will be fine, club ahve them for spinning classes and they work well

I got the Satori for €145 just before Christmas on CRC...a great deal! It is really very good. It has resistance settings from 1-10, but I find a lower resistance and higher gear is much smoother than high resistance and lower gear. I also got a spare wheel and mounted a specific indoor trainer tyre so it is relitively quiet. Price has gone way up since, so I'm not sure if its worth it!

    Good Luck! :D
