    I have a Western Digital 80G portable passport (external hard drive) While I was using a particular program I had a write delay error. That programs folder is now corrupt, or 1 folder in the programs folder is corrupt I can reinstall the program but that folder from the old install will not delete. I heard that if this happens you can try to rename the folder and try again. Did this but still can't delete it.

    The exact error message is: "Cannot remove folder Imgs: The folder is not empty"

    To the best of my knowledge the folder is empty and I even switched on "Show hidden folders and files" option.

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Windows XP

    Install UNLOCKER on your PC then connect the external & let unlocker nail it for you.

    Did you run the chkdsk utility on it ?

    Start => run => cmd

    type chkdsk /F <Drive Letter>

    And see what that does !
