Where to get advertising for a paper

    I was just curiouse what papers do((By means of new ones,Rather than a business going to the paper it's self))to offer a place for ads.Are there advertising agencies that you can apply too or do they have to go visit the businesses themselfs.

    I don't think I quite understand the question... can you rephrase?

    Most newspapers have an employee or department devoted to drumming up advertising, it's what keeps the paper in operation.

    New papers, small ones at least, will visit businesses with a price list and statistics on circulation, perspective readership etc, basically it's a sales job...

    Yeah that pretty much awnsers it.I was just curiouse to know if there was a advertising agency that you could get onto as well about it :L

    Iv dealt privately with the papers advertisers. Interesting prices for advertising I must say!
