Lads, I am broke. I want to get rid of sky to cut down on my bills and I want to keep as many channels as possible. I dont mind paying a little initially

I am a bloke I am not getting out much to the pub so want Sports, films(+18)

Whats the best option and where can I get it.

How much does it cost and can I install it myself by following the other sky dishes in my estate

Finally can I make it multiroom without running leads(Wireless)

    Any good info greatly appricated!

Unfortuately that is the most valuable bit to Sky.

Popular Football is only Sky & Setanta. 18+ films are partly pay Tv and some FTA channels.

There is other sport free on Satellite, but not the same content as Sky Sports / Setanta.

The only real way for multiroom is wires. Wireless is hit or miss and the same channel on both TVs.

    Go to 501 on Sky.
press Interactive, wait till it has loaded
    Remove viewing Card
press Backup and DO NOT re-insert card at all.

    Wait
    go 101 = BBC1
flick through the channels to see which ones work. That's what you have if you cancel. Basically same as Freesat /FTV.

Put card back in to restore RTE/TV3/TG4 and other pay channels.

U could look at a foreign sub ? But then you'll need the setup cost of a bigger dish, receiver and then the sub its self, so really you wont be saving anything, even though there is a greater choice of viewing from abroad i feel.
