Ive been learning to drive since jan 08.

    Bought a car may 08.

Having problems now with the car and need to buy a another learners car. Will need to go smaller like a 1L or 1.2L, 1.3L.

Have been told its a good time to buy. Have 2000 saved up. Have me told that if i was to get a small loan of say for example 2000, and someone to haggle, and go into a car dealerrip with cash, that i could get good car for a very reasonable price.

But my sister was saying not to spend much, buy a car privately, and spend 1500 to 2000.

I can understand where my sis is coming from in case i get a bump or drive into things, i woulnt be sorry.
But i would also like to get myself a good car, and a good looking car.
Cars i would like are in the newer models - eg 03 models:
    Opel corsa
    Vw polo
    Nissan micra
    Ford fiesta

I agree with your sis. Don't get a loan to buy a car while your learning. There are plenty of great cars out there for €2000 and a lot less.

Out of interest what are the problems with your current car?

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

    I've a citroen xsara.

I had a small accident in nov. Theres some dents. 1 front light missing. Half the exhaust pipe fell off. The other half is dragging on the ground. Very noisy.

I could get it fixed up but it would be expensive and it wouldn't be worth my while. Besides i want to get a smaller car.

What are you planning on doing with the Xsara?
