Make it happen! Parisse to captain the lions!:D Seriously how good is this guy? Possibly only McCaw is ahead of him in the world game ad even that is debatable. A titan.

Zabbo could possibly be taking the mick and is basically saying that nearly half of that Italian team were born in Argentina.

Have you seen the arses on the average Argie birds? No wonder there's fields of Paddys over there.

I thought Parisse was Argie too, but in fact, he was born there, yeah, but both his parents are Italian, his dad worked for Alitalia (might be wrong there) and he spent most of his childhood summers in Italy and spoke Italian at home. So he is fairly Italian. :pac:
significant amout of irish there also!

    Coached by Santiago Phelan. ^^

Castrogiovanni would walk into the team as well. He absolutely beasted Sheridan and always made ground despite getting the ball consistantly behind the gain line.

Agreed about castrogeovanni. The english media have Sheridian as nailed on for Lions loose-head yet his form has been woeful. Id have Jenkins over him at the moment, while Horan never even gets a mention.

Actually they don't, and neither does the rugby going public...there's been consternation over his continued inclusion in the squad over here, with most people saying he needs the shepherds crook...He was embarrassed yesterday and most of the english media are saying so....he wont get near a lions shirt

Good spattering of Welsh out in Argentina too. There's even a village where they speak Welsh. Trelew.

No way in hell. Let's see some of them play in a limited side and see what they can do.

Yeah your probably right but why stop there? I reckon any forward that can stand upright for more then five seconds is better then him.

When have any of those players nearly created a try from uncontested scrums like Parrise did right there?

I actually feel sorry for Parisse. He is such a great player yet playing for such a s**t italian side. He carries the team yet is only so much one player can do.

No way would I like the italians joining the Lions. The lions is a valued tradition and i would not like to see that ruined.

Perhaps for giggles the French, Argentinians and the Italians could form a touring side.

Please, try not to be ignorant (generally speaking)...circa 3 and a half millions of italians emigrated to Argentina (1830-1960), in the 19th century italians were a 10% of the population of Buenos Aires, later some of these people were political refugees, at the beginning of 1900 we were a 12.5% of the entire argentinian population...nowadays HALF of the argentian have italians origins and blood, the italian comunity is huge and the italian ethnic group is the main one along with the spanish one. This is not about Parisse (who has, as said, a bit of a different story), but generally speaking this explains you why why have "argentinian" players ^_^

Are you serious!? Harinordoquy can compete with him on pure abilty but is nowhere near as consistent. Heaslip isnt even the best number eight in Ireland, Ditto Powell in Wales.

of course heaslip is the best number 8 in ireland.
