Bold tx on latop

I have a one year old laptop and for some reason its switched to bold text. This is not a big problem but I'm wondering why it happened and despite some research failed to discover how to change it back. Its running vista home if that makes a difference.

It sounds like you've inadvertently enabled ClearType.
To disable it follow the instructions on this page.
